CIC Status, International Team and Craig Waugh Memorial

August 19th, 2011 2 comments

The Disabled Golf Society has now achieved Community Interest Company (CIC) Status. Amongst the many benefits this gives the DGS, Sport England have informed us that their funding procedures they will match our fund raising activities £ for £, so we can help twice as many people as before!!!

We are now even closer to announcing the first ever English Disabled Golf Team for our event in October, these players will be chosen on their ability, despite disability at our qualifying events.

Do you want to get involved in Craig Waugh Disabled Memorial International? If so please contact the DGS on 01666 503918, as we desperately need helpers/volunteers/marshals for the event. This event is being supported with the kind generosity of The Waugh Family in Norwich, in memory of their Son, Craig who so tragically died in an accident just as his golfing career had stated to bloom.
