DGS Statement – 11th July 2012
It is with sadness, the DGS Directors have agreed to accept the resignation on 4th July, of our Northern Co-Ordinator, Kevin Booth. Following the seeds planted by Graeme & Sue Robertson up in the north and with The Stroke Association, Kevin has worked tirelessly to promote disabled golf up in the north of England, so we would like to thank him for the work he has done in this last year.
Graeme & Sue will be hosting the event at Thirsk & Northallerton on Thurs 19th July and at Houldsworth, nr Stockport on Mon 20th August and are urgently seeking assistance in order for the remaining events of the season in the north to continue. Given the huge growth of disabled golf in the UK, in preparation for next year’s season, we are now looking for event co-ordinators throughout England, particularly in – North West, East Midlands, West Midlands, Yorkshire, and South East, South Coast & South West. This also leaves an opening for a new DGS Handicap Secretary. Should you wish to express an interest in any of these voluntary roles, please contact Graeme.Robertson@disabledgolfsociety.com
