The format of the day is such that we aim to accommodate everyone’s requirements – those who want to go out early and play 18-holes; those who prefer to play 9-holes; and everyone who wants to make the most of the opportunity of tuition with the Pro in the morning to improve their game. All are welcome.
Event Criteria
9-10am – Tea/coffee/bacon roll on arrival (tuition available from 9am)
11-11.45am – Tee off
3-4pm – Lunch as each group arrive back at the club house
4pm – Prize giving
The cost of day will be ‘between £30 and £35′ depending on golf course rates/location (all inclusive)
or £10 for lunch only (carers/volunteers)
About Mardyke Valley Golf Club
Mardyke Valley Golf Club is a new and exciting 18 hole Parkland Course with undulating fairways, challenging holes and stunning Lakeland views. The course is among the most picturesque in the County, encompassing a number of environmentally protected areas with a wide range of wild life and flora.
A wealth of mixed specimen trees, both young and mature, add dimension and character to the course; streams and lakes lead down to the River Mardyke. Standing in 140 glorious acres, this par 70 course is gaining a fine reputation. The contours of the valley ensure that golfers’ skills are tested to the full. Set in the grounds of historic Ford Place, our signature hole is the ‘Watery Grave’, possibly one of the most charming holes in Essex!
We have recently had the pro shop extended and refurbished and will be looking to stock it with a wider range of golf clothing and equipment to include a competively priced Ladies range.
