England v Scotland International Team Selection

September 12th, 2011 1 comment

The Disabled Golf Society would like to extend huge congratulations to those who have been selected to represent England (and Wales) at Slaley Hall on 7-9th October against Scotland. Our thanks to those who tried out at the qualifiers and were disappointed – there’s always next year. The team who are representing England are great ambassadors for the Disabled Golf Society in what it tries to achieve. With regulars members who have supported the DGS throughout the year, with a range of disabilities and coverage around the country. Graeme Robertson is the non-playing captain and is hugely proud of being selected for England in this role.

Congratulations to all those involved in the Comic Relief fundraiser at Billingbear Park, for Red Nose day. They managed to raise £181.50 on the day, with more to come from the collecting tins. Disabled players were teamed up with Seniors from the ‘Nifty Fifties’ of Bird Hills and everyone enjoyed the day. Well done everyone!
